We are a community group seeking to end period poverty in Arkansas through donations, education and legislation.
Donations, we work with the community to collect period products to then package them up into one cycle's worth of products. These products are then donated to whoever has requested them: schools, churches, boys & girls clubs, unhoused, dv homes, the participants etc.
Education, we offer free menstrual education on our website and as of this year we have begun educating in schools! This includes a presentation, period packs, menstrual cycle tracker, Q&A, ending with a fun activity.
Legislation, we have attempted to remove the luxury tax that is on menstrual products. In our opinion, these items are NOT a luxury, but a necessity. We are also working towards making menstrual products more accessible by having them in public spaces, especially in school restrooms. We collect testimony on experiences and share those with our state representatives.
