He has served as the President of the Arkansas Trial Lawyer's Association, including during many important legislative sessions where he helped preserve the rights of Arkansans to access justice in our courts. He has served as a Trustee of the Arkansas Bar Association for multiple terms. He has also served two terms as the Chair of the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Commission. On a more personal note, he has the compassion and temperament to always listen to people who come before him and to make a sound and just decision.
