As we embark on a critical mission–strengthening the institution of public education.  We must elect candidates dedicated to preserving public education as the cornerstone of our democracy. An engaged, educated and active citizenry is the foundation of a thriving democracy, and public education is the best means to prepare future citizens to protect and sustain it. We cannot allow those who would privatize education   to sell our children’s–and our nation’s–future to the highest bidder.
