We have the courage to come together & look in each other's eyes, & listen to each other's words. Only then will we unite across our lines of difference so that we can work together to confront real issues that affect our daily lives and prevent us from collectively & individually realizing this nation's founding ideas of equal justice, inclusion & empowerment.
We will dedicate ourselves to remove every barrier that prevents any Arkansan from enjoying access to the basic minimum needs of food, shelter & education, as these confirm our humanity & allow us to realize our full potential.
We will, today, commit ourselves to embracing radical empathy, friendship & understanding as a means to make progress together towards the biblical concept of a Beloved Community where we collectively protect against anyone taking advantage of ourselves or others and we proactively demonstrate true concern for each other's well-being. Only then will we be able to stand up & hold these truths to be self-evident, as we work each & every day to live up to this nation's founding ideals.
