Legal Defense for All Bikers Welcome Mural

Thanks for being here.
Over the past several months, I’ve been navigating an unexpected and deeply challenging fight over the All Bike(r)s Welcome community mural. What began as a joyful, inclusive project created with over 80 community members has turned into a larger issue about government transparency, proper process, and whether public art decisions will be shaped by fairness or by a few loud voices. While I’ve always been willing to address valid legal or policy concerns, what we are facing now is rooted in misinformation and, at times, outright bigotry. This fight has never been just about one mural—it’s about making sure that decisions affecting all of us are made with integrity and inclusivity.
Several of you have asked how you can help. Legal support is expensive, and I’ve now retained an attorney to ensure that this process is handled lawfully and respectfully. If you feel called to contribute to these legal costs, any amount helps.
Important Tax Notice:
Donations are not tax-deductible.
All funds will be held in a separate account dedicated solely to legal expenses related to this matter. Funds will be used exclusively for attorney fees, court costs, and other legitimate legal expenses directly related to defending my rights in the All Bike(r)s Welcome mural matter. Detailed records of all expenditures will be maintained.
Any funds raised beyond documented legal expenses will be used for related advocacy costs or donated to All Bikes Welcome. A final accounting will be provided to donors if requested upon resolution of the legal matter.
This will go directly toward legal expenses to protect artistic integrity, due process, and the principle that inclusion is not controversial. I commit to providing periodic updates on the legal proceedings and fund usage to maintain transparency with supporters.
