Chris Jones is a 7th-generation Arkansan, born and raised in Pine Bluff. A husband, father, physicist, and pastor, Chris has spent his life serving others — whether in the lab, the classroom, the pulpit, or the community. In 2022, he made history as the first African American major party nominee for Governor of Arkansas, running a campaign that brought together rural and urban voters under a banner of hope, faith, and hard work.
A former NASA intern and MIT-trained nuclear engineer with a Ph.D. in urban planning, Chris believes innovation and inclusion go hand in hand. He’s led mission-driven organizations, expanded access to STEM education, and worked across party lines to get real things done for working families. He’s also an ordained minister and the proud husband of Dr. Jerrilyn Jones, a U.S. Air Force veteran and emergency room physician. Together, they’re raising their three daughters in Little Rock.
Now, Chris is building a campaign grounded in Arkansas values: faith, family, service, and opportunity. He’s running for Congress to make sure the promise of hard work pays off — for everyone. We all know we've been getting ripped off. And it's about time for a change. Whether you’re just getting by, almost getting ahead, or starting to do well, Chris believes government should work for you — not just for the super-connected. He’s focused on the missing middle: the families who do everything right and still feel like they’re falling behind and their dream is slipping away. Because everyone should have a fair shot.
Can you chip in today to support this critical, foundation-building phase of Chris Jones' campaign for Congress?
