I am running as an Independent candidate for Arkansas State Representative for District 60 because I am tired of the blame game and partisan politics. While I am new to the political arena, I bring some qualities that I think matter.I care about people—not politics.I listen more than I speak. I believe in solving problems through communication, compromise, and common sense. I believe integrity and respect matter inEVERYfacet of life. I am ready to focus on the issues that are most important to the citizens of District 60: Insuring our kids receive a goodeducation, assisting ourfarmers and the small businessesthey support, and making sure folks have access toaffordable quality healthcare.
As an Independent, I am not beholden to any party or special interest group. I am free to listen to your concerns, to work across the aisle, and to make decisions that benefit our communities as a whole, not a particular party. I’m not naive. I know this will be an uphill battle. My opponent is an incumbent and has the support of the party machine on his side. HOWEVER, Ihope that I have the support of people like you, who are tired of the same old politics and are ready for a fresh perspective.
