For the North Little Rock We Know and LoveNorth Little Rock is a special place, held together by loyalty and a deep sense of community. I’m Tori Scott, and I believe a strong community starts with strong public schools.
The Challenge We are at a crossroads. While I have many wonderful memories of our district, from the classrooms of Amboy Elementary to my graduation in 2012, I also recognize we are facing a season of challenge. Right now, our foundation is cracking as we navigate fractured relationships and a loss of trust. As I prepare to send my own son to kindergarten next fall, this mission is personal: when the bond between the community and our schools is broken, it is our children who pay the price.
My Promise to North Little Rock As a product of this district, I will bring accountability back to the board to ensure every family experiences the same sense of belonging and excellence that I did. My plan focuses on three goals:
- Nurture: Rebuilding the partnership between families and schools by engaging parents from day one. Parents are vital partners.
- Support: Restoring a district culture rooted in mutual respect. We must give our teachers the consistency, trust, and honest support they need to succeed in the classroom.
- Prepare: Ensuring every child has a clear path to a successful future and the skills they need to flourish in work and in life.
It’s time to get back to the basics of trust and transparency. Your donation helps us get this message out to our neighbors.
