Sen. Jim Banks, Sen. Todd Young, & Rep. Rudy Yakym voted to cut SNAP by $186 billion this year.The U.S. Department of Agriculture has an emergency contingency fund – passed by Congress – designed to continue SNAP benefits during government shutdowns. The Trump administration is refusing to use those funds.
