The Jacksonville, Arkansas Branch of the NAACP proudly presents our Inaugural Freedom Fund Gala, a night of celebration, empowerment, and progress! Join us on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 6:30 PM at the Jacksonville Community Center as we honor the past, embrace the present, and shape the future, Our Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Chris Jones It is with great deliberation that the NAAC Jacksonville leadership has selected Dr. Phillis Nichols-Anderson, Alpha Gamma Theta Omega AKA Chapter President for the NAACP Presidential Leadership Award at our Inaugural Freedom Fund Gala to be held on June 19, 2025, Juneteenth. We were pleased that Dr. Anderson graciously accepted this invitation to honor her service. To the Ladies of the Alpha Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc We hope and trust that your chapter will work with the Jacksonville NAACP to make this recognition successful. You have the liberty to coordinate with our committee to accentuate the honoring of Dr. Anderson with AKA regalia and/or tradition aligning with our event. This year’s theme, "Reigniting Our Power," is a call to action—reminding us of the strength, resilience, and unity that have fueled the fight for civil rights for generations. It signifies a renewed commitment to justice, equality, and the power we hold when we come together as a community. Why Juneteenth? This historic holiday marks the true end of slavery in America, symbolizing the freedom that was long overdue. For the NAACP, Juneteenth represents not only liberation but also the ongoing journey toward equity and opportunity for all. It is a time to reflect, celebrate, and recommit to the work ahead.
