LOGLINE: Unable to afford or provide dignified care for her incapacitated father, a woman takes desperate measures to carry out his wishes.
SYNOPSIS: After a series of health setbacks, one family finds themselves in an impossible predicament. An incapacitated father who needs round-the-clock care, and a daughter who is giving up her own life to care for him, navigate the difficulties of a system stacked against them with devastating consequences.

ARTISTIC STATEMENT //
This film reflects a harsh reality that American families face every day. Our healthcare system does little to alleviate the financial burden of long-term care—something I witnessed firsthand when my grandfather became ill. The out-of-pocket cost to my family was $6,000 a month.
Most American families cannot afford such an expense, leaving them overwhelmed, devastated, and navigating an exhausting, inevitable decline without adequate support.
Even for those who can afford long-term care, the emotional toll remains immense. Watching a
loved one’s condition deteriorate is a deeply unsettling experience.
This film does not claim to have the answers, but raises difficult questions that deserve examination.
I have assembled a talented crew and am committed to creating a carefully crafted production with high artistic and technical quality.
This will be my second narrative short in which I serve as writer, director and lead actor. I also plan to edit the film, as I have edited all three of my previous films. I am inspired by the Sean Baker independent filmmaking spirit and am striving to carve out my own space as an auteur with a signature style.
